KRIBHCO, along with its joint-venture partner Farm Frites, is participating in the Global Potato Summit 2025 being held on 11–12 December at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida. The international event brings together leaders from across the global potato value chain, including growers, processors, technology providers and policy-makers, offering participants a platform to exchange insights, explore innovations and build new collaborations.
KRIBHCO’s presence at the summit comes months after it signed a joint-venture agreement with Farm Frites to establish a high-tech potato processing plant in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, aimed at introducing premium potato varieties and providing farmers with advanced seeds and technical support. The project is expected to strengthen organised potato processing in India and create new income avenues for farmers.
The Global Potato Summit features exhibitions, expert sessions, business networking and technology showcases, covering areas such as seed development, cold-chain solutions, modern farm practices, processing machinery and export opportunities. Post-event farm demonstrations will also be held to highlight emerging cultivation and post-harvest technologies.
KRIBHCO’s participation signals India’s growing push to move from being primarily a producer of table potatoes to becoming a strong player in processed potato products, supported by global partnerships, technology infusion and better market access. The summit is expected to accelerate this shift by enabling interactive learning, market linkages and collaborative development within the sector.
