The Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying, along with the National Fisheries Development Board hosted a workshop on drone technology in fisheries at ICAR-CMFRI, Kochi, Kerala, on November 8, 2024.
The event featured dignitaries including Minister of State George Kurian, scientists, state officials, and over 700 fishermen and fisherwomen. Attendees received the new fish feed “Cadalmin BSF PRO,” along with a booklet highlighting advancements in marine science.
The event includes presentations by NFDB and startups on the role of drones in fish transportation, feed dispensing, and rescue operations. A live demonstration showcased drones in action.
