Sharply reacting to NCP leader Sharad Pawar’s criticism of farmers’ organization Swabhimani Shetkari Sangathana , its president Sadhabhau Khot accused the NCP leader of having ruined the cooperative sector in Maharashtra offering cooperative sugar factories literally on a silver platter to his kith and kin.
The NCP supremo had earlier expressed his worry over the farmers’ agitation marked by violence in Pune. Mr. Khot said the NCP leader has done nothing to promote the interests of farmers. The latter got a raw deal from the NCP-Congress govt in Mumbai and farmers’ all present woes are their handiwork, he added angrily.
