The Kerala State Cooperative Department is set to organize the third edition of the “Cooperative Expo” from April 21 to 30, 2025, at the Kanakakunnu Palace Premises in Thiruvananthapuram.

The event will serve as a global platform to showcase the achievements of the cooperative sector and explore alternative economic models that address pressing global challenges. The expo aligns with the United Nations’ International Year of Cooperatives 2025, celebrated under the theme “Cooperatives Build a Better World.”

The expo will feature seminars, a cooperative film festival, and cultural programs, alongside discussions on the cooperative movement’s progress at the state, national, and international levels. It will also address challenges faced by the sector and highlight innovative solutions.

The cooperative movement in Kerala has played a vital role in various sectors, including healthcare, education, tourism, women’s empowerment, infrastructure development, and poverty alleviation. The state currently boasts over 23,000 cooperative institutions, demonstrating its strong commitment to this economic model.

Officials expect a significant turnout of industry experts, policymakers, and the public, making the expo a crucial event for the future of the cooperative sector.
