The Kerala Government has granted administrative sanction for releasing Rs 20 lakh as financial assistance to the Nellimoodu Service Co-operative Bank Ltd. for setting up a Farmer Service Centre under the National Co-operative Development Corporation (NCDC) scheme.
According to a government order issued by the Co-operation Department, the sanction follows prior approval by the NCDC and recommendations submitted by the Registrar of Co-operative Societies.
The assistance will be extended as share capital support, with the funds to be released from the State Plan allocation for the financial year 2025–26.
The proposed Farmer Service Centre is aimed at strengthening grassroots institutional support for farmers by improving access to agricultural inputs and related services.
