The Kerala government has sanctioned the release of Rs 5,79,600 for hiring an electric vehicle for the Vigilance Wing functioning under the Co-operation Department for the financial year 2025–26.

According to a government order issued by the Co-operation Department, the amount has been approved towards the annual lease rent of a Tata Nexon electric vehicle hired on a dry lease basis for official use by the Vigilance Wing.

The expenditure will be met from the relevant head of account under the Annual Plan 2025-26. Administrative sanction for the expenditure had earlier been granted through a government order dated October 25, 2025.

The government has now authorised the release of the sanctioned amount to ANERT during the 2025–26 financial year. The order also directs the Registrar of Co-operative Societies to withdraw and disburse the funds from the relevant head of account.

The Registrar has further been instructed to ensure that the utilisation of the funds is closely monitored in strict compliance with the Finance Department guidelines issued on June 12, 2024.
