The Kerala Government has approved financial assistance of Rs 45 lakh to the Institute of Co-operative Management (ICM), Kannur, under the Co-operative Department’s annual plan for 2025-26. The fund will be provided as a matching contribution towards running costs.

The sanction follows a detailed review of the proposal and is in line with previous government orders and circulars.

The amount will be released during the 2025-26 financial year, ensuring proper allocation from the designated budget head.

The Co-operative Registrar has been tasked with withdrawing and disbursing the funds. Strict adherence to utilization guidelines and close monitoring of fund use have been mandated. This assistance underscores the government’s continued support for strengthening co-operative management institutes and promoting effective training and development in the sector.
