Kerala Floods: Vishweshwar Sah Bank donates Rs 5 lac

When it comes to fighting calamities- forget ULCCS or IFFCO, even smaller co-op organizations lend a helping hand. Pune based Vishweshwar Sahakari Bank has donated an amount of Rs 5 lakh to Sakal Relief Fund, Pune for the relief work of flood victims of state of Kerala.

Besides the UCB’s contribution, what was remarkable was that more than 362 employees have contributed their one day’s salary for the flood victims

Shriram Yadav, representative of Sakal Relief Fund, Pune received the donation cheque in presence of S Anil Gadve, Chairman, CA Manoj Sakhare, Vice Chairman and Suniel Rukari, Senior Director of the Bank, read a press release sent by the UCB.

A proud Chief Executive Officer Satish Gandhe of the UCB also said that Vishweshwar Sahakari Bank recently won an award of Frontiers in Cooperative Banking Awards 2018 (FCBA 2018) for Best Insurance Business Growth in the category of Large UCBs. The award ceremony took place in Delhi recently.
