Media reports say the Kerala government has issued a notification with retrospective effect, relaxing 13 provisions of the Kerala Co-operative Societies Act for checking disqualification of governing bodies.
Earlier, the governing bodies would face disqualification for five years if they did not hold the annual general meetings of the cooperative societies on time.
The date has now been extended to Dec 31.
