The farmers’ cooperative Manarcadu Social Service Society will soon open Cafe de Monde a cafe chain in Kochi in Kerala with its brand premium organic coffee, says Hindu.
President of the cooperative said the outlet will offer top-of-the-line experience café chain he said. The coffee shop will open in Kochi in June.
The farmers’ cooperative has been working for the benefit of coffee farmers to ensure better market price for their products. It has helped more than 5,000 farmers achieve organic certification.
In the year 2015, the cooperative society notched up export revenue of 30 crore by catering to the European market with 1100 tonnes of produces such as spices, coffee and cocoa.
