In a remarkable achievement, the Kerala State Cooperative Bank has been honoured with the award for best performance in loan disbursal under the Prime Minister Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) Scheme for the year 2024-25.

The award was presented by Kerala’s Minister for Law, Industries and Coir, Sri P. Rajeeve, to Kerala Bank’s Chief Executive Officer Jorty M. Chacko, during ‘Food Tech 2025’.

The event showcased products and success stories of PMFME scheme beneficiaries from across the state.

Kerala Bank has made significant strides in MSME lending, with total disbursals crossing Rs 6,306 crore. So far, the bank has extended loans to nearly 1,48,285 MSME units. In the last fiscal year alone, Rs 2,074 crore worth of loans were sanctioned to 36,896 new units. The bank now aims to support 50,000 new MSME units in the current financial year.

The bank President Gopi Kottamurickal and CEO Jorty M. Chacko reiterated the bank’s commitment to accelerating industrial growth and economic development in Kerala through widespread implementation of schemes like PMFME.
