Karnataka State Co-operative Marketing Federation President M N Rajendra kumar has said all cooperative societies in the state will be provided with air-conditioning facilities to modernize their offices, reports Deccan Chronicle.

In his inaugural remarks at a special training camp for presidents and managers of agriculture co-operative societies in Belagavi division, he said the offices of co-operative societies would be equipped with high technology and the staff would be imparted training in modern skills to enable them to compete with the corporate system.

Karnataka State Co-operative Customers’ Federation President G P Patil expressed his unhappiness at the inability of co-operative societies to measure up to the standards set by multi-national companies.
