Karnataka Urban Co-op Banks’ Fed: Patil elected unanimously

Senior Cooperator from Karnataka H K Patil has been unanimously elected as the President of Karnataka Urban Cooperative Banks Federation in an election held last week. Patil is also the Chairman Emeritus of Nafcub-an apex body of UCBs and credit societies.

Patil has replaced D T Patil who is the Chairman  of D.T.Patil Cooperative Bank at Chikkodi in Karnataka. B S Paramashivaiah has been re-elected as the Vice-President of the State UCBs federation.

The newly elected Chairman of the federation, Mr Patil is a well-known co-operator having served as a Minister in Karnataka in the past. Patil is currently All-Indian Congress Committee General Secretary.

The board of Karnataka state federation comprises 18 elected directors. Out of this 11 are the newcomers and rest are from the outgoing board, said Pundalik N Kerure, CEO, Karnataka UCBs federation.

At present, 265 UCBs are the members of the federation. The term of the newly elected board will be five years.
