Karnataka local co-operators under the leadership of State Cooperative Minister S T Somashekar met Union Cooperative Minister Amit Shah soon after the National Cooperative Conference organized in Delhi and sought his time to inaugurate the state-level cooperative conference to be held in November.

From Sahakar Bharati President Ramesh Vaidya to Campco former President S R Satishchandra to Karnataka State Souharda Federal Cooperative (KSSFCL) President Krishna Reddy and others were present on the occasion.

Sharing the details, KSSFCL CEO Sharanagouda Patil said, “We have invited Shah to attend the State Level Cooperative Conference to be organized in November. We will finalize the dates after receiving confirmation from Shah. We are planning to move into our newly built head office at Bangalore which is a three-story building and constructed at the estimated cost of Rs 5 crore. We also invite the Minister to inaugurate our new office”.

“He listened to us patiently and assured us that he would become a part of the event. On the occasion, several issues related to Karnataka co-ops were discussed in brief. We are sure that under his leadership the cooperative movement will grow bigger “, he added.
