Parampara Multipurpose Cooperative Society in Udupi district in Karnataka will soon market the boiled rice under its own brand name ‘Kaarla Kaje, reports Hindu.
Naveenchandra Jain, president of the society said rice is being promoted under ‘vocal4local’ initiative.
The society is helping 100 farmers with seeds to promote its cultivation. According to Jain, the ‘Kaarla Kaje’ rice will be sold in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts.
