Himachal Pradesh vigilance and anti-corruption bureau has filed a cheating and conspiracy case against Kangra Central Cooperative Bank (KCCB) officials for disbursing Rs 20 crore to businessman Yudh Chand Bains, flouting RBI and NABARD guidelines.
Bains, owner of Himalaya Snow Village and Hotel Lake Palace, allegedly secured multiple loans as officials ignored lending norms.
The case was filed after a complaint by the state cooperation secretary and approval under the Prevention of Corruption Act. Investigation is ongoing.
