The elections to all fifteen seats on the Board of Directors of Maharashtra-based Kalyan Janata Sahakari Bank Ltd. have been held unopposed. The newly elected board has also received formal approval from the office of the Cooperative Election Authority under the Union Ministry of Cooperation.
With the commencement of the tenure rule, several outgoing directors have not returned to the board, paving the way for fresh faces in the bank’s leadership. Among the previous board members, only Makarand Kelkar and Sampada Kulkarni have been re-elected.
From the general category, the elected directors are Mahesh Deshpande, Ravindra Dharne, Saurabh Joshi, Prakash Kapooria, Amol Kaulgud, Makarand Kelkar, Prakash Lele, Sushilkumar Mulye, Shekhar Prabhu, Rewa Prabhudesai, Chandrashekhar Tambade, and Bipin Chandra Wadekar. From the women’s category, Sampada Kulkarni and Asmita Modak were elected, while Pravin Gamare was elected from the SC/ST category.
Founded in 1973, the bank is a multi-state cooperative bank with a network of 39 branches across Maharashtra.
