Maharashtra’s Kaijs Bank has been recognized with two prestigious awards, “Best Cooperative Bank” and “Best Cybersecurity Transformation”, at a national cooperative banking summit held recently in Goa.
The awards were presented by National Cooperative Finance and Development Corporation (NUCFDC) President Jyotindra Mehta to the bank’s Chairman, Swapnil Awade, who accepted them along with members of the Board of Directors.
In his address, Awade dedicated the achievement to the trust of customers and the hard work of the bank’s board, executives, and staff. He assured that the bank would continue to scale new heights by strengthening digital banking and cybersecurity infrastructure, bringing services at par with nationalized and private sector banks.
Serving Maharashtra and Karnataka for over six decades through its 54 branches, Kaijs Bank has been committed to empowering underserved communities. Highlighting the importance of secure banking,
Awade noted that despite the rising threat of online frauds, the bank’s proactive cybersecurity measures have ensured that neither the bank nor its customers have faced financial risks.
The occasion was graced by Vice Chairman Mrs. Vaishali Awade (Maharashtra State Co-op Banks Federation), CA Chandrakant Chougule, and several directors and dignitaries from the cooperative banking sector.
