Karnataka Minister and veteran co-operator H.K. Patil organized a grand celebration to mark the birth centenary of his father, K.H. Patil, a stalwart in the cooperative movement.
The event saw the presence of several top leaders, including Deputy Chief Minister and KPCC President D.K. Shivakumar.
Remembering K.H. Patil as a great humanitarian who played a crucial role in strengthening the cooperative sector in Karnataka, Shivakumar credited him for giving him his first political opportunity as State Congress president.
Speaking at the inauguration of the Gadag Cooperative Cotton Sale Society on Sunday, Shivakumar also lauded H.K. Patil for his continued efforts in promoting and supporting cooperative institutions.
