Union Ministry of Cooperation Joint Secretary Raman Kumar recently visited the Seva Cooperative Society and Milk Producers’ Cooperative Society in Pansora village, Anand district, Gujarat. The visit aimed to assess the implementation of central government schemes promoting financial empowerment and strengthening cooperative institutions.
Kumar interacted directly with cattle farmers and cooperative members to understand the impact of ongoing initiatives. He also distributed sanction letters for animal husbandry Kisan Credit Card (KCC) loans facilitated by the Kaira District Central Co-operative Bank (KDCC Bank).
Tejas Kumar B. Patel, Chairman of KDCC Bank, accompanied Kumar and highlighted several initiatives being implemented across Seva and milk societies, including PACS computerization and Micro ATM-enabled banking services that ensure direct and transparent payments to farmers.
KDCC Bank has made notable progress under the “Cooperation among Cooperative Institutions” campaign. It has provided Micro ATM services to 1,037 milk societies, issued over 3.9 lakh RuPay cards, and completed more than 80 lakh digital transactions. The bank’s network spans 946 villages, supporting nearly 4.75 lakh milk society members and over 1.75 lakh farmer account holders.
On the occasion, local cooperative leaders including Hitendrabhai Patel, Parmanand Patel, and Charanbhai Rabari, along with other officials and members, were present.
