J&K High Court while hearing petitions quashed the FIR against Dinesh Gupta Chairman Citizen Cooperative Bank. The FIR had been registered in a loan fraud. However, the court rejected the petition by Kuldeep Gupta requesting the quashing of the FIR.
The court said the impugned FIR was registered way back in 2009 but the investigation was not yet over. The court termed the investigation as unsatisfactory.
Going forward, the court wants higher police officers to supervise the investigation.
