Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir Dr. Arun K Mehta recently held a meeting to review the working of the Cooperative Department. Secretary Cooperatives, Yasha Mudgal along with other officials including Registrar Cooperative Societies attended the meeting virtually.
The Chief Secretary asked the department to expand digital footprint in the cooperative sector along with seeking convergence in sectors like dairy, horticulture, fisheries, agriculture etc.
Earlier in her presentation, Secretary, Cooperatives Yasha Mudgal discussed the financial position of 8 Cooperative Banks in terms of CRAR, NPA and CD ratio.
Out of 8 Cooperative Banks, 7 Cooperative Banks are already using the latest technology including CBS platforms, net banking facility and SMS alert and ATMs and mobile banking Facilities.
