In the cheque distribution ceremony held at Beri town by Jhajjar (Haryana) District Central Cooperative Bank in collaboration with Nabard, Haryana BJP State President Om Prakash Dhankar distributed cheques worth Rs 2 crore to women.
Talking to the Indian Cooperative HARCO Bank Chairman Hukum Singh Bhati who was also present on the occasion said, “We have distributed a cheque of Rs 2 crore to the women through the Jhajjar Central Cooperative Bank. This support will not only empower them but also make them self-reliant. The recovery ratio is very high and the money has been disbursed to JLGs.
On this occasion 277 women associated with 67 JLGs were given cheques. The ceremony was presided over by the Chairperson of Jhajjar Central Cooperative Bank Neelam Ahlawat.
Later on sharing photos and details through social media, Dhankar wrote, “The Jhajjar Kendriya Sahakari Bank Ltd., under the courtesy of NABARD, distributed cheques to women under joint liability groups. In this era of women empowerment, women should develop courage to fight against social evils by becoming self-reliant”.
