To mark the International Year of Cooperatives, a grand and successful FPO Fair-cum-Exhibition was organised at Sahkar Bhawan, Jaipur under the joint auspices of NCDC, Rajasthan State Cooperative Bank and RICEM. The event aimed at promoting innovation, self-reliance and the empowerment of Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) in the cooperative sector.
The two-day programme saw active participation from seven FPOs representing six districts, who showcased a wide range of high-quality local products.
The primary objective of the event was to provide FPOs with a common platform to display their products, gain wider recognition, and receive technical, marketing and managerial guidance-an effort highly appreciated by visitors and participants.
FPO representatives shared their experiences, interacted with experts, and explored various schemes, training opportunities and market linkages available in the cooperative ecosystem.
The fair proved to be a significant step towards strengthening FPO networks, encouraging rural entrepreneurship and enhancing farmers’ incomes. It stands as a commendable initiative aligned with the cooperative spirit of the International Year of Cooperatives.
