In line with the Ministry of Cooperation’s directive to celebrate the International Year of Cooperatives 2025, the Pune District Central Cooperative Bank (PDCC) in collaboration with the Cooperation Department organized a Loan Mela at its head office recently.
The event was held as part of the Cooperative Week being observed from July 1–6, 2025.
On the occasion, PDCC Bank Chairman Prof. Dr. Digambar Durgade, Vice-Chairman Sunil Chandere, Director Pravin Shinde, CEO Aniruddha Desai, and General Manager Sanjay Shitole, along with District Deputy Registrar Prakash Jagtap, and Assistant Registrar Misal from the Cooperation Department were present.
Addressing the gathering, Jagtap highlighted the global significance of July 5 as International Cooperative Day since 2012 and emphasized the central government’s vision of celebrating 2025 as the International Year of Cooperatives.
He spoke about various upcoming cooperative initiatives, including tree plantation, model AGMs, and credit camps.
In his speech, the bank Chairman discussed the evolution of the cooperative movement and shared insights on PDCC Bank’s financial strength and schemes. Vice-Chairman Chandere urged borrowers to use loans responsibly and repay on time.
On this occasion, loan sanction letters and saplings (mango, tamarind, jamun) were distributed to beneficiaries.
