In celebration of the International Year of Cooperatives, the Gujarat State Cooperative Agriculture and Rural Development Bank (GSCARDB), popularly known as Kheti Bank, hosted a delegation from Indonesia, Jordan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Vanuatu, and Palestine as part of a learning visit organized by NAFCARD and the ICA-AP Committee on Credit and Banking (ICCB).
The bank Chairman Dolarbhai Kotecha welcomed the guests with traditional Indian hospitality and highlighted the historic formation of the Ministry of Cooperation by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of Union Minister Amit Shah.
He emphasized the vision of “Cooperation Among Cooperatives” and “Sahkar Se Samruddhi”.
The event was coordinated by DGM Ms. Bhumika and AGM Mrs. Devyani, who shared the bank’s vision.
Ravindran, Managing Director of NAFCARD, addressed the global cooperative landscape, while Dr. V.M. Chaudhari, General Manager of GSCARDB, presented the bank’s performance and cooperative initiatives.
Delegates also took part in a tree plantation drive under the initiative “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam”, followed by a vote of thanks delivered by K.B. Patel, General Manager.
