Bihar based Marketing Cooperative Federation BISCOMAUN has issued a notification for the State PACCs Societies including trade division and other cooperatives who are distributing fertilizers to the farmers to modify their VAT/TIN number into GST number till 15th June 2017 which will be the last date, reads notification.
Readers would recall that the govt. of India is set to roll out GST from 1st July. The GST will subsume a number of central taxes – such as central excise duty and service tax – and state levies – including VAT, luxury tax, and entertainment tax.
The notification said “To modify VAT/TIN number into GST number, one may contact advocate, Chartered Accountant or can apply online”.
The cooperative society which is not able to modify their GST number till 15th June 2017 will not be able be to do business with Biscomaun, according to the notification.
