The ILO Co-op Wing extends its reach to Attapeu, Laos, promoting the cooperative model. Utilizing ILO’s Think.COOP and Start.COOP tools, three workshops were conducted in collaboration with COOP Okinawa, JILAF, and LFTU.

Attendants included district officers, vocational educators, students, and members of the Lao-Lao cooperative. Training modules emphasized collective action, cooperative principles, and member rights. Ms. Heejin Ahn highlighted ILO’s global support for cooperative policies.

Mr. Ishihara emphasized cooperation’s essence in Laos. Participants praised the training for crystallizing their cooperative practices. Visits to Lao-Lao’s production site enriched understanding.

Future plans include further training with Our.COOP tools, fostering cooperative development in partnership with COOP Okinawa, JILAF, and LFTU.
