International Cooperative Alliance-Asia Pacific (ICA-AP) Regional Director Balu Iyer visited the stall of Kerala’s department of cooperation at the Indian International Trade Fair (IITF) at Pragati Maidan on Tuesday evening and was impressed by the huge footfalls of visitors.
On this occasion, Alex Varghese (IAS) Kerala Registrar of Cooperative Societies, PRO Vijay Kumar, ICA-AP official Ganesh Gopal and others were present.
It is worth mentioning that the co-ops stalls of Kerala are becoming a big hit among the onlookers and it was evident from the fact that their sales have gone up to Rs 6 lakh. Apart from the Department of Co-operation stalls, Kerala State Cooperative Marketing Federation stalls are also attracting crowds of visitors.
Around 17 cooperative societies’ products from the Kerala department of cooperation have been showcased at the Kerala Pavilion of the Trade fair.
The products include Pokkali Rice, Marayoor Jaggery, Coconut Oil, Pepper Powder, Cardamom, Coriander Powder, Turmeric Powder, Lemon Grass Oil, Payasam Mix, Unakkalari, Ginger Coffee, Roasted Coffee Beans and others.
