Speaking on the occasion of the mega co-op conclave at Indira Gandhi Stadium IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi not only spoke extensively on the achievements of IFFO but also said that IFFCO has restored people’s faith in cooperatives.
“We have been giving 20% dividends for the last 20 years without a break”, announced the MD underling the fact that when the general trust in co-ops is on the wane, spotless conduct of organizations like IFFCO drives away fear from the minds of people. Awasthi was speaking at a function where Union Minister Amit Shah was the Chief Guest.
Awasthi also assured that two other Nano products would be introduced soon before the farmers. Listing IFFCO’s contributions Awasthi said, “IFFCO is concerned both with the culture and agriculture of the country”. He informed that through 35283 co-op societies about 5 crore farmers are part of the IFFCO Family.
“We have planted more than 1.2 crore neem plants, reclaimed 30 thousand acres of dead land; we never stopped working and even braved the risk during Covid”, he said adding that IFFCO’s production of fertilizer was never stopped during the pandemic.
“It is a matter of great pride that the captains of cooperatives are sitting with the Minister to brainstorm about a subject like co-operatives”, said Awasthi thanking Amit Shah for his presence in the conclave.
