Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah will lay the foundation stone for IFFCO Nano DAP plant at Kandla Unit in Gujarat on Saturday.
IFFCO Managing Director Dr U S Awasthi has gone to Kandla to oversee the preparations for the foundation stone ceremony.
In one of his tweets, Awasthi wrote, “Supervised the on ground preparations of the foundation stone ceremony of #IFFCONanoDAP plant in Kandla Unit. I personally did the complete Recce of the plant along with Sh. @AksharmaIk Unit Head, IFFCO Kandla and his entire team. The foundation stone will be laid by Hon’ble Sh. @AmitShah Ji, Union Minister of Home Affairs and Minister of Cooperation on 12th August, 2023”,
This year, Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah launched IFFCO Nano DAP (Liquid) at New Delhi at its headquarters.
The Nano DAP liquid contains 8 per cent nitrogen and 16 percent phosphorus. Its application will help reduce usage of granular urea by about 14% and that of DAP initially by 6% and later by 20%. It will lead to saving in foreign exchange reserves of the country, improvement in plant nutrition and 100% availability of nutrients in soil.
