IFFCO will soon distribute urea to primary agricultural cooperative credit societies in several districts of Tamil Nadu. The State cooperative marketing federation will work together with the fertiliser cooperative in supplying the input among farmers.
Considering there is a big demand for urea among paddy farmers, the IFFCO has made all possible arrangements for the supply of urea among farmers said D.Subramanian, Chief Area Manager, IFFCO, Tiruchi region.
Mr. Subramanian said two shiploads of urea totalling 1,14,000 tonnes has arrived in Karaikal for onward distribution in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. A substantial portion of the urea to be off-loaded at Karaikal would be sent to Tamil Nadu, he said.
