Jordan Phosphates Mines Company (JPMC) and Jordan India Fertilizer Company (JIFCO) Chairman Mohammad K Thneibat met IFFCO Managing Director Dr U S Awasthi at IFFCO Sadan in New Delhi on Tuesday.
Held as one of the successful overseas ventures of the fertilizer titan IFFCO, JIFCO was inaugurated by then President of India Pranav Mukherjee and King Abdulla of Jordan in Eshidiya in Jordan in 2015. The consignment of phosphoric Acid from JIFCO Jordan are being sent to IFFCO Plant in Kandla.
Soon after the meeting IFFCO Managing Director Dr U S Awasthi wrote on social media “Hearty welcome to His Excellency Dr. Mohammad K Thneibat, Chairman Jordan Phosphates Mines Company #JPMC and Chairman of Jordan India Fertiliser Company #JIFCO to #India & #IFFCO. IFFCO and Jordan Phosphates Mines Company Ltd (JPMC), Jordan had formed a Limited Liability Joint Venture Company, namely Jordan India Fertiliser Company (JIFCO) on March 6, 2008 in Amman, Jordan.
The phosphoric acid plant is located at Eshidiya in Jordan. In this company, IFFCO and its affiliates hold 52 % equity, while JPMC holds 48 % equity. The JIFCO plant counts the largest producer of phosphoric acid complex in the world.
