Taking his Sahakari Jan Yatra forward on the occasion of IFFCO’s Golden Jubilee, the fertilizer cooperative M D Dr U S Awasthi moved to Bilaspur after completing his successful meeting with the farmers of Raipur, the Capital of Chhattisgarh.
In Bilaspur thousands of farmers including women welcomed him with a bunch of flowers. A euphoric MD said ‘it feels good to meet them’. Earlier he had visited cities of Gujarat including Kalol, Mehsana and Vadora.
Dr U S Awasthi inaugurated agriculture exhibition, health camps and other events organized by JVs of IFFCO. Thousands of farmers thronged the venue of the meeting.
In his address to the gathering, Dr Awasthi emphasized on the importance of Crop Cycle and Testing of soil. He also said the woman of the state will have to come forward in playing their role in cooperative activities.
Sharing the details of his trip to Bilaspur, he tweeted “Addressed the farmers, Cooperative fellow of Bilaspur. Crop Cycle and Soil Testing is necessary. Women have to come forward”.
During his trip, he also honored the farmers of Bilaspur and said his next destination will be Madhya Pradesh.
He plans to undertake 110 such meetings for the entire year celebrating the Golden Jubilee of IFFCO and reaching out to the ordinary members with the message “you own IFFCO”.
