K J Patel, Managing Director of Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited, visited the organisation’s Rajasthan State Marketing Office in Jaipur during his first trip to the state, where he held detailed discussions with marketing and field teams.
The meeting was attended by Ram Niwas Garhwal, Ramesh Kumar, Sanjay Kulshreshtha and Pritvi Raj Sihag. Patel emphasised that marketing remains the backbone of IFFCO, extending beyond distribution to educating farmers about emerging agricultural practices and innovations.
He underscored the need to accelerate the transition from conventional fertilisers to organic and nano fertilisers, noting that the marketing team has a critical role in driving awareness and adoption at the grassroots level.
Patel also flagged concerns over rising global raw material prices amid the current geopolitical scenario, pointing out that a significant share of fertiliser subsidy is spent on imported inputs. Expressing confidence in the Rajasthan team, he said their continued dedication would strengthen IFFCO’s mission of supporting farmers and enhancing agricultural sustainability.
