Shillong the capital of Meghalaya was the 58th destination of IFFCO Managing Director Dr U S Awasthi in his farmers connect camaign across the country. He was given a warm welcome laced with a traditional dance Shad Suk Mynnsiem of Meghalaya.
Even in rain farmers and cooperators participated in the programme which prompted Awasthijee into saying “Salute to cooperative spirit of people of Meghalaya”.
After inaugurating the cooperative meet, Awasthi met the farmers from the state personally and organized an interactive sessions with them. He patiently listened to their problems and suggestion related to cooperatives. The
women cooperators from Meghalaya were also present in large numbers.

In his address Yogendra kumar, General Manager, IFFCO who is the senior most member of MD’s touring team explained about Sagarika and Bio Fertilizers and IFFCO’s role in informing farmers about good agriculture practices.
During his tour, Awasthi felicitated the farmers for their contribution in the development of the cooperative sector.
