“We should involve cooperatives in a big way in training youngsters to add value to state tourism”, said IFFCO Managing Director Dr U S Awasthi during the “Connect to Farmers campaign” in Goa last week.
Awasthi tweeted that “Goa is rich is its culture & tourism. We should form cooperatives to train youngsters to add value to state tourism. #50yearsofIFFCO”.
IFFCO MD turned nostalgic once he hit the land of Goa where he had set up a fertilizer unit in the past. Recalling the fond memories of the place he tweetd “ Quite nostalgic. In #Goa after so many years. My fond memories of
establishing a #fertiser unit. My best wishes to #goans, Awasthi wrote on social media.
During his visit, he met farmers and cooperators of the state and acquainted himself with their needs to develop the agriculture sector and their expectations from IFFCO.
#IFFCO have good presence in #Goa & doing efforts to enhance it’s agricultural output with many #soil preservation projects, Awasthi tweeted. He also inaugurated a cooperative seminar and participated in the traditional lamp dance.
