Soon after completing his trip to Aonla, IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi visited Phulpur and besides other things met the young achievers who have cracked IIT from the area. Awasthi encouraged the boys by giving them financial support as well as motivating words.
The fact that one of the boys Malkhan Singh is the son of a farmer from Kanpur made Awasthi proud as he expresses in his tweet“ Proud on achievement of #Malkhan Singh, son of Farmer from #Kanpur. Awarded him Rs 21,000/-, for top ranks in #IITJEE2016”.
Another Kanpur boy to attract Awasthi’s attention was Nilesh Verma from Kanpur. Awasthi presented him with a cheque of Rs 51 thousand for what he called Nilesh’s determination and performance.
Dr U S Awasthi had a busy schedule in Phulpur. He met everybody from Officers’ union employees to IT team to
Ammonia plant to Urea plant to bagging unit to power and control plant. Lauding the power of youth he said ? youth represents our strength and future. He also posed for a?group photograph with young professionals posted at IFFCO Phulpur plant.
In all his meetings he raised the issue of Golden Jubilee celebrations with his staffs. Reader would recall that IFFCO is completing 50 years in 2017.
Dr Awasthi concluded his trip by addressing media where he laid emphasis on issues such as need to save the soil, use of balanced fertilization of agricultural fields, etc.
