Amid mad rush to attend the World Culture Festival (WCF) hosted by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, founder of the Art of Living (AoL) meditation and wellness program, several cooperators including IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi attended the show.

Later posting a photograph of the assembly Dr. U S Awasthi tweeted “It’s mesmerizing & congratulations @SriSri & all artists performing in #World Culture Festival. Confluence of cultures.”

VPP Nair, a prominent Goan cooperator connected to Labour cooperative also came to participate in the function along with 50 people from Goa.

About 5 lakh residents of Delhi and neighbouring Noida have reportedly participated in the World Culture Festivalawasthi-2 (WCF) which lasted for three days.

The choice of venue got the much touted event embroiled in controversy. But the National Green Tribunal (NGT) finally gave it a green signal with a caveat.

Many international statesmen and guests have also participated in the show. The attendance of international VIPs has entailed a huge police bandobust including sniffer dogs and over 5000 policemen.

African drummers, Turkish dervishes and Bharatanatyam artists are busy displaying ‘universal brotherhood’. The aim is to end conflict, hunger and poverty on earth.
