IFFCO installs solar plant in Villages

Along with digital Indian Campaign the farmer’s cooperative IFFCO, as explained in these columns earlier is also focusing on renewable energy. The latest photos posted by its MD show Solar power put to light up street lights in the villages.

IFFCO MD Dr. U S Awasthi tweeted “Renewable energy resources must be used. IFFCO installed solar plant street lights in adopted village @PMO India”.

The impressive photos of adopted village which is hard to believe that it is an Indian village, indeed signals towards a quiet revolution, quipped a cooperator.

Readers would recall that earlier IFFCO MD announced in his tweet that “IFFCO prepared 2 fund researches in cost effective storage of Solar power due to unavailability of Sun in the night”.

Awasthi followers congratulated him in the tweets. One of the follower tweeted that “Sir a noble campaign for sustainable development. Wise utilisation of renewable resource over non-renewable resource. Another follower tweeted “Noble work 2 have installed solar lights in IFFCO adopted villages. Noble work 2 have installed solar lights in IFFCO adopted villages.

Solar energy is radiant light in which heat from the sun is harnessed using a range of ever-evolving technologies.
