The Ministry of Cooperation has taken a proactive role in promoting the upcoming Global Cooperative Conference scheduled for November. As part of this initiative, the Ministry tweeted about Dr. U.S. Awasthi, Managing Director of IFFCO, who will be a prominent speaker at the event.
On social media platform X, the Ministry wrote, “Meet Dr. Udai Shankar Awasthi, Managing Director, IFFCO. Dr. Awasthi began his career at Shriram Chemical Industries and later held significant positions at Zuari Agro-Chemicals, PPCL, RCF, IFFCO, and KRIBHCO.
Under his leadership, IFFCO’s turnover surged from Rs 1,405 crore in 1992-93 to Rs 39,330 crore, and its profit after tax increased from Rs 116 crore to Rs 2,443 crore by 2023-24.”
Responding to the tweet, Dr. Awasthi wrote, “The Global Cooperative Conference is the largest gathering of cooperators from around the world, being held in India for the first time. Let’s talk about ‘Sahakar Se Samriddhi’ and the strength of Indian cooperatives. Let’s share the success stories of Indian cooperatives.”
