IFFCO drones could be sighted from 15th Oct: MD

During the IFFCO’s special meeting of the general body, its Managing Director Dr U S Awasthi underlined the importance of IFFCO Kisan Drones spraying Nano Urea and Nano DAP. He also explained how IFFCO is working hard to procure drones for the farmers.

“IFFCO has launched a massive campaign for procuring 2500 drones and giving training to rural entrepreneurs for spraying the Nano range of products. A drone would cover 20 acres per day”, said Awasthi.

He further added, IFFCO is also procuring 2500 electric three wheelers to carry drones to the farmers. The drone will be equipped with all the modern technologies. The cost of a drone is 13.50 lakh but we will not take a single penny from the rural entrepreneurs except Rs 1 lakh as a guarantee”, IFFCO MD informed.

“We are about to get the license from the director general of civil aviation (DGCA) to commence the drone operations. We hope that it will start by 15th October 2023”, he added.

On this occasion, IFFCO MD urged the delegates to encourage farmers to use the Nano urea in their fields, which is environment friendly and saves the health of soil. For selling one bag of Urea, the margin money is Rs 12-13 but for Nano Urea, it is Rs 40. It is the same with Nano DAP, the margin money for one bag of DAP is around Rs 25 but for Nano DAP it is Rs 50, Awasthi informed.

IFFCO MD said within 5 to 10 years, the whole world will be using the IFFCO Nano Urea and DAP.
