During IFFCO’s 54th Annual General Meeting at the grand Bharat Mandapam, cooperators from across India shared inspiring stories of how IFFCO’s nano range of products is making an impact at the grassroots level.
Mahesh Pandey, an RGB member from Jalaun, Uttar Pradesh, proudly informed the gathering, “In our district, we have been actively promoting IFFCO’s nano products among farmers. As a result, our society successfully sold approximately 4,000 bottles of nano fertilizers during 2024–25. We are making continued efforts to further popularize these eco-friendly and cost-effective products.”
Arun Tomar, a delegate from Madhya Pradesh, added, “We have distributed nearly 70,000 bottles of nano urea and nano DAP to farmers in our region, and the response has been extremely positive.”
A woman cooperator named Reeta Singh from Amethi shared her proactive efforts, stating, “We have distributed 1,500 bottles of nano urea in our area. I suggest that IFFCO introduce a promotional scheme under which large farmers can receive a trial bottle of nano urea and nano DAP for free. If they find the results satisfactory, they will likely influence other farmers to adopt these products, accelerating the shift toward sustainable farming.”
Echoing the spirit of inclusion, Bhawana Gondaliya, a cooperator from Gujarat, proposed, ‘Just as we have the Sahakarita Ratna and Sahakarita Bandhu Awards, there should also be a dedicated award for women cooperators. It could be named Sahakar Bhagini or Sahakar Sathi, to recognize the vital role women play in the cooperative movement.
Another passionate voice from Unnao, Uttar Pradesh, Ankit Parihar, called for better welfare for RGB members. “IFFCO should consider introducing a health insurance policy of Rs 5 lakh or Rs 10 lakh for RGB members. It would be a great morale booster and ensure security for those serving the cooperative sector tirelessly,” he said.
