An interesting spectacle presented itself during IFFCO’s hybrid AGM on Wednesday when one of the delegates requested IFFCO management to provide Covid Vaccine through its societies whenever it hits the market!
Habituated for listening to demand for farm-related requirements, the top management of IFFCO was amused to hear the request.
“Our members who are associated with us for many decades have developed huge confidence in IFFCO; they hope to get Vaccines through us at a reasonable price and thus this request”, said one of the Directors talking to Indian Cooperative.
It bears recall that the likely arrival of the vaccine to ward off Covid 19 has also led to speculation about its prices. While some claim it would be priced Rs 1 lakh per person, there are reports that it may be priced much lower in the range of Rs 1000-1500.
Farmers who used to look up to IFFCO as a one-stop-shop for all their needs have now expressed desire before the AGM on the Vaccine issue. It bears recall that IFFCO successfully conducted its 49th AGM through a hybrid model on Wednesday where a large number of delegates participated from various parts of the country.
