IFFCO: Awasthi meets Union Minister of State Rupala

With IFFCO MD Dr US Awasthi’s Farmers’ Connect Campaign over, he has gone on a meeting spree thanking all those who lent a helping hand with his mission. It is this spirit of being thankful that led to his meeting with Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and Panchayati Raj Mr Parshottam Rupala.

IFFCO celebrated Golden Jubilee last year on the completion of its 50 years. While MD Awasthi crisscrossed the nation meeting lakhs of farmers, the grand finale was organized at Kalol-IFFCO’s mother plant near Ahmadabad in Gujarat last November.

“Today met Sh. Parshottam RupalaJi Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and Panchayati Raj. Felicitated & greeted him on the occasion of #50yearsofIFFCO and presented coffee table book on #50yearsofIFFCO”, tweeted Awasthi.

Rupala who hails from Gujarat is held as a dynamic leader. The two leaders are believed to have discussed co-operative and farmers, among others things.

Earlier, IFFCO MD had also met Cabinet Minister Radha Mohan Singh. Singh had taken part in some of the Farmers’ Campaign as IFFCO had also organized farmers’ meet in Motihari –Singh’s hometown.

IFFCO was successful in roping in several minister across the country in its campaign. Ministers’ participation added to the attraction of the campaign as they are public figures, said an IFFCO official.
