Next week on Thursday 9th July 2020, the Committee for the Promotion and Advancement of Cooperatives (COPAC) will continue celebrating Coops Day, with an online webinar taking place from 09:00 to 10:30 EDT (15:00 to 16:30 CEST), claims a release from Bruno Roelants Director-General, International Cooperative Alliance.
The celebration will feature the screening of a short documentary illustrating the Creando Conciencia cooperative, which is fighting ecological and social injustice through decent work, mobilising the local economy and expanding opportunities in the Benavidez district in the greater Buenos Aires, Argentina, the release adds.
Cooperatives from Europe and Asia Pacific will present their significative work for climate action and sustainable development, followed by an interactive discussion on how to expand the impact of cooperatives worldwide, it says.
