Always staying abreast of the latest developments in the global cooperative movement, IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi lost no time in congratulating the newly appointed Director General of ICA Mr Bruno Roelants, who replaces Charles Gould as the 16th Director-General of the Alliance.
In his tweet Awasthi says “Heartiest Congratulations to Bruno Roelants for joining as new Director General to Alliance. Mr Bruno is a highly qualified professional with vast experience of cooperatives. Indeed, you will play an excellent & lead role in taking Alliance to new heights. Best Wishes!” concluded the MD.
It bears recall that in the last elections of the ICA Board IFFCO’s candidate won with the highest margin, triggering a
media speculation if the time has come for IFFCO to be in the race for the top post. IFFCO team that accompanied Awasthi was stunned by his capabilities to establish instant chemistry with global cooperative leaders.
On this occasion IFFCO also did not forget to thank the outgoing DG Charles Gould for his dedicated service to ICA for seven years. “I on behalf of IFFCO, more than 36000 cooperative societies & 40million member farmers from India thank Mr. Charles Gould for giving his best and dedicated services to the Alliance.
