In a major step towards securing India’s digital financial ecosystem, the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) under the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Reserve Bank Innovation Hub (RBIH) have signed an MoU to strengthen cooperation against cyber-enabled financial frauds and mule accounts.
The partnership will focus on intelligence sharing, analytical support and operational coordination to improve fraud detection mechanisms across banks and digital payment platforms.
Under the agreement, I4C will share suspect registry data and mule account intelligence with RBIH to enhance AI-driven systems such as MuleHunter.ai™.
Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah said the initiative reflects the Modi government’s commitment towards a “cyber secure Bharat” by using Artificial Intelligence to identify and eliminate hidden mule accounts.
The collaboration is expected to strengthen trust and resilience across India’s digital banking and payments ecosystem.
