The apex bank Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Bank has contributed generously to both the CM Relief Fund and to the HP Covid-19 Solidarity Response Fund on Tuesday in order to help the government fight against the second wave of Covid-19.

The CMO Himachal shared the news on his twitter wall. “On behalf of Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Bank Limited, Chairman, Khushi Ram Balanhata ji presented a cheque of Rs. 50 lakh to Chief Minister Shri Jai Ram Thakur ji for the Chief Minister Relief Fund and Rs 29 lakh 21 thousand 2 hundred and 71 for the Chief Minister Covid-19 Solidarity Response Fund”, he wrote.

The CM thanked the bank management for their contribution.

Readers would recall that the bank had hit the media headlines in the wake of RBI imposing a penalty of Rs 40 lakh on it for non-compliance with certain regulatory directions issued by NABARD.
