Himachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri presided over the closing ceremony of the International Year of Cooperatives-2025 at the Agricultural University, Palampur.
He said the state is the birthplace of the cooperative movement and remains a guiding force nationally. Agnihotri noted that cooperatives in Himachal form an economic ecosystem of nearly Rs 50,000 crore with about two million people.
He unveiled the Himachal Pradesh Cooperative Policy-2025 and said the government is strengthening cooperatives as a pillar of a self-reliant, inclusive rural economy.
